
McIntosh College is a small, career-focused school with a variety of associate degree programs in Accounting, Business Management, Criminal Justice, Fashion Merchandising, Graphic Design, Massage Therapy, Medical Assisting, Paralegal Studies, Photography, and Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts. Founded in 1896 by A.D. Bliss as the Dover Business College, McIntosh College was purchased by David McIntosh in 1902 and was incorporated in 1958 under the State of New Hampshire. Since then, McIntosh College has evolved into one of the finest higher education institutions in New England, becoming accredited by the General Court of New Hampshire with the approval of the Post-Secondary Education Commission in 1967.
McIntosh College joined the Career Education Corporation (CEC) in 1999, which includes other schools throughout the United States such as the California Culinary Academy, Brown College in Minnesota, the Harrington College of Design, the Brooks Institute of Photography, Brooks College, the Katharine Gibbs Schools, American InterContinental University (AIU), Colorado Technical University, Sanford-Brown Institutes and Sanford-Brown Colleges, and Collins College. Other schools owned by CEC are located in Canada, France, the United Kingdom, and the United Arab Emirates (Dubai).
