Prior to Modesto Junior College, Patrick studied Computer Science at Merced College where he earned a CompTIA A+ Certification, an Adobe Webdesign Certification, and CCNA/CCNP training with Cisco Systems. His classes consisted of configuring Cisco multi-layer switches and routers, ADTRAN telephone equipment, and remote access. He installed lab equipment at California State University, Fresno that was donated by Cisco Systems, which allowed students to establish different routing networks with redundant dialup as well as T1 and direct serial. He also helped install equipment for Madera County Welfare Department, helped install frame relay equipment in a backbone center for Merced County, helped the Merced County Office of Education, and led a team of the first ever sponsored Adobe curriculum by Cisco Systems to produce a sample website for Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory’s Fun With Science program.
McElhiney’s recent affiliations include becoming a board member with Dover Main Street and the Planning Committee for the Joe Parks Garden Project in Dover NH. He recently donated a website to the Woodman Institute Museum,

Patrick McElhiney played President Franklin Pierce in the reenactment of Dover Main Street’s Presidents & Politicians – Revealed, which was videotaped and will play on Cable Television as well as DVD. The proceeds will benefit Dover Main Street.

Patrick McElhiney’s talent with music began in fourth grade in the year 1993 when the Brown School Orchestra in Turlock, CA needed a String Bass player. Patrick was most distinguished and noted for playing the upright bass beginning in fourth grade, and throughout Jr. High and early high school, both because of the size of the instrument, and his excellence in mastering music. He joined the Turlock Junior High School Jazz Band in seventh grade, playing both upright and electric bass in competitions throughout the state such as Santa Cruz and even the Turlock Christmas Parade. He won several Superior ratings for solo work, performed in dozens of honor orchestras throughout the State of California, and even joined the orchestra at the California State University Stanislaus in eighth grade. He also played with the Turlock Junior High School Band, which performed in Disney Land theme park in Los Angeles. In his freshman year of high school, he toured Canada with the Modesto Youth Symphony Orchestra and met Gary Karr, the world’s most famous solo upright bassist.

In December, 2007, Patrick McElhiney developed a document in his Business Management class at McIntosh College that explains how to make $1 Trillion dollars in 6 years with interconnected community websites in every city in the United States of America.
