On the side of the building is the Rotary Club of Dover “A Street Scene of Dover Circa 1850” on Third Street which symbolizes the historical importance of Dover NH. The artwork is by Frank Woodard, and includes a poster advertisement to see the 7000 pound Indian Elephant at the Dover Opera House, as well as a poster to see William Shakespeare’s Merchant of Dover at the Orpheum. Another poster illustrates a horse and carriage advertisement for F.B. Gates Grocer Wagon.

A mounted patrol horseman is on patrol outside of a window where a woman is playing the piano, children play outside a store named the New York Hat company, a woman plays the violin, an elderly couple sits on a bench, and two men sit on a carriage drawn by a white horse in front of a grocery store. This is also the site where a lamp post was rescued by Patrick McElhiney's grandfather, Robert Labrie, a life long resident of Dover. The lamp post will be on display at the Woodman Institute Museum in 2008.
