Healthcare Facts
The healthcare workforce is expected to grow 25% by 2010. America is aging and will require more healthcare. One in five will be elderly by the year 2030.
Education with a Purpose
The aging population, declining workforce and the high cost of healthcare are coming together to create a crisis situation in many of the healthcare professions. Although the need for more healthcare providers is widely publicized, there is still a critical need in many areas of the health industry. One such area of need that has been identified at the national, regional and local level is the critical shortage of Licensed Nursing Assistants (LNAs). The Licensed Nursing Assistant and similar classifications have been identified as the third largest growing occupation in response to the increasing need for senior care in long-term care facilities, rehabilitation centers, and senior housing.
