Confident And Competent
Our House for Girls is a nonprofit, residential program in Dover that provides a safe and nurturing environment for adolescent girls referred by the court system due to abuse or neglect in their homes.
Programming at Our House allows residents to learn the value and fund of sharing experiences in a safe environment. Caring, trained adults serve as mentors and models during activities designed with girls in mind.
These activities are designed to build their skills, address their concerns, spark their interests, and instill a sense of connectedness to the community.

Our Mission
Dover Children’s Center is committed to providing affordable, high quality childcare to all children. Priority in placement is given to children and families with financial, social, behavioral or developmental needs. It is the philosophy of the Center that early childhood should be a time of fun, warmth, security, exploration and discovery.
Our Pre-school programs focus on the five steps of Child Development.
The primary focus at this age level is: Social and Emotional Development – In these areas we work on sharing, taking turns, cooperation, team-work, and feelings. |

History of Cochecho Country Club
Founded in 1920, Cochecho Country Club is a private country club in Dover, New Hamsphire featuring a traditional 18 hole championship golf course, uniquely designed and built by two different architects from two different eras – Messrs. Wayne Stiles and Phil Wogan. The layout is challenging, enjoyable to play and effusing elements typical of a classic layout – routing wherein greens and tees are set on high ground, strategic lines of play, features executed in harmony with the natural environment and subtle challenging greens.
Described by restoration achitecct Ron Forse as a “hidden-gem”, the front-nine at Cochecho is an excellent classic course designed in the early 1920s by visionary architect Mr. Wayne Stiles. Stiles entered the field of golf architecture through landscape architecture as a draftsman for a prominent Boston landscape architect. By the end of his career, Stiles was influential in both the American Society of Landscape Architects and the American Society of Golf Course Architects. |

Make a difference in the lives that follow.
Introduction
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
All of us have a cause that is close to our hearts. Whether it is finding the cure for a disease, building a school, hospital, or library, seeking ways to slow global warming, bringing theater to town, or providing shelter for the homeless, there is a charity in your community that makes a difference.
LEAVE A LEGACY® is a nation-wide public awareness campaign that promotes the message that all people can make a difference by leaving a charitable legacy though a will, trust or by other means. LEAVE A LEGACY® NH/VT is a partnership of charitable organizations, professional advisors, and corporations. It is sponsored by Upper Valley Planned Giving Council and is supported by several area organizations. This is our 3rd publication of the LEAVE A LEGACY® NH/VT magazine.
